VISION STATEMENT AND PLAN INCENTIVES
Challenge our citizens to continually reach for superior social and
economic characteristics. Utilize natural resources to the fullest potential in
cooperation with a multi-agricultural economy. Assert a vigorous campaign for
esthetic improvements to enhanced business recruitment and retention.
Southeast Colorado Enterprise Development provides incentives and develops
promotional activities that will market and advertise the advantages of locating a
business in the Southeast Colorado area, create a positive identity, encourage retention
and expansion of existing business, promote redevelopment, expand the region's tourism
industry, attract new businesses, and generally enhanced the economic growth of the area.

SECED, Inc.
Meetings
SECED MEETINGS
SECED is open Monday
through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. The Board of Directors
meets monthly. After each meeting, the board sets the date for the next
meeting. These dates appear in the minutes, which are mailed to all
communities. SECED meetings are open and participation is encouraged. The dues for
the organization are based on population. Since the inception of the organization the dues
have remained at eighty-nine cents per capita.

SOUTHEAST COLORADO COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS

Agreement all local government members signed resolutions through their legislative bodies
to establish the Southeast Council of Governments. This cooperative is specifically
empowered to contract or otherwise participate in and to accept grants, funds, gifts,
property, or services from any federal, state, or local government, agencies, private
sources and civic sources. They are also empowered to expend funds received there from,
under provisions as may be required of and agreed to by the cooperative, in connection
with any program or purpose for which the cooperative exists.

COLORADO ASSOCIATION OF REGION
ORGANIZATIONS
This
organization is a statewide organization of regions. The purpose of the organization is as
follows:
1. Develop and
promote a unified stance on regional issues of concern to member organizations and inform
appropriate state and federal agencies and legislative bodies of the issues and the
Associations positions.
2. Provide a forum
to facilitate exchange of information between member organizations in order to enhance the
regional concept.
3. Stimulate,
encourage and sponsor educational efforts leading to a better understanding on the part of
the general public, as well as public and private organizations, of the programs and
services rendered by regional organizations.
The
Association recognizes and respects the differences between the various geographical areas
within the State, and the basic rights of each member organization to plan according to
policies and procedures, which are considered best for its region.
The Association meets at
least quarterly. Special meetings of the Association may be called by the Chairman
or by request of one-third of the membership upon not less than fourteen days notice.
